Supporting Homeschooling Families in Brighton
Hi, my name is Alma. Since becoming a mum in 2014, I have been dedicated to empowering children to discover their true potential through a holistic and enriching approach to education.
I was born in Albania on a self-sufficient homestead surrounded by animals, pets, and abundant nature to explore. This upbringing gave me the vision and imprint for the life I wanted to create for myself and my family—a life rooted in connection, creativity, and self-sufficiency. I later moved to Italy, where I received my formal education in Milan and Northern Italy, and subsequently moved to the UK for love in 2011.
Rooted in my extensive academic background at well-renowned universities, where I specialized in pure mathematics and later pursued engineering, and holding a Diploma in Accounting and Entrepreneurship, my expertise is further complemented by a foundation in psychotherapy, gained in 2020, and fluency in five languages. This program is inspired by my personal journey of homeschooling my children, as well as spending the past five years in semi-retreat, meditation, and spiritual practice, studying the ancient philosophies and yoga systems of India. It brings together academic excellence and mindfulness to nurture the whole child.
Each morning begins with an optional walk over the adjacent downs, offering children a chance to connect with nature, engage in physical activity, and start the day with mindfulness and fresh air. Our program is intentionally screen-free, fostering a digital detox environment where children immerse themselves in hands-on learning, creativity, and real-world skills. By stepping away from technology, we encourage focus, presence, and meaningful connections with their surroundings and peers.
Set in a warm home environment, children engage in activities such as food growing, baking, animal rearing, and basic housekeeping, while exploring curriculum-aligned academic subjects. Physical activity is also a vital part of our program, with one day dedicated to boot camp, running training, and other engaging exercises that promote health, resilience, and teamwork.
As a homeschooling parent myself, I understand the unique needs and opportunities that home education offers. Alongside raising my children, I have also been running a sewing business in Brighton for 14 years, where I’ve connected with the local community and cultivated creativity. I’m excited to incorporate basic sewing, knitting, weaving, and the creation of seasonal-inspired crafts as part of the curriculum. Children will also learn essential life skills like cooking, gardening, and keeping a home, all in harmony with academic and creative growth.
Together, let’s inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in every child.
Our mission is to foster a love of learning by blending traditional, time-tested teaching methods—such as joined-up handwriting and classic reading primers—with engaging, curriculum-aligned tailored lessons. Our approach nurtures curiosity and creativity while honoring proven techniques that support natural brain development and deep learning.
“A holistic and child sized traditional education has the power to ignite a lifelong journey of curiosity, a love for learning, and meaningful discovery.”
